Make White Spring Granite Countertops Work With Your Kitchen
A common mistake when designing a planning a kitchen with white spring granite is to use too many light colours. While a light kitchen can be very desirable it is very easy to overdo the whites and end up with a very sterile, bland looking room. Instead the granite should be used in a way which compliments the color scheme of the rest of the room.

When used with light shades such as yellows, pale blues or pale greens, white spring granite creates the look of a very traditional kitchen.
A personal favourite of mine is using the color Linen White along with a medium dark stained oak floor as pictured to the right. You can see the simply beautiful effect this combination produces and could be described as a very homely, warm style.

White granites are extremely versatile and as such can be used well, albeit in a different way, to perfectly complement darker surfaces in a room.
As illustrated in the image to the left. When paired with darker cupboards and metallic appliances the light countertop creates a visually appealing contrast. This material is perfect for creating that contemporary, sleek, stylish look that is only usually seen in showrooms.
White Spring Granite Maintenance
Unfortunately while in a lot of peoples opinions, white granites are visually more appealing than darker ones they do have a drawback and that is that they do require more maintenance.
You should be particularly wary of staining your countertop because lighter granites absorb colours more efficiently than their dark counterparts as well as the fact that they will show up more.
Any stains should be immediately wiped up with a mixture of warm water and washing up liquid as this will prevent the majority of cases where your surface could be stained. If you find that the stain does persist then pouring a hydrogen peroxide solution onto the surface and leaving for 30 minutes should get rid of the eye sore.
To keep your white spring granite countertop in the best condition possible it is also recommended to reseal it every 6-8 months.
